LOOK theater, bar / restaurant closes in downtown Chandler

LOOK Cinemas, a movie theater chain that includes a small restaurant and full bar, has closed its Chandler location.

The chain filed for bankruptcy in November. The nine-screen theater and restaurant/bar in downtown Chandler closed after having been open since October 2021, having taken over the former Flix Brewhouse location.

The theater was also a main site for the annual Chandler International Film Festival, which completed its 2025 run Feb. 2.

Michael Ennabe, of Ennabe Properties, Inc., says his firm’s been contacted by several interested parties regarding the location.

“I cannot disclose the type of tenants, but I will be working to bring the best possible tenants to the residents of Chandler and to keep within the community plan for the revitalization of Downtown Chandler,” Ennabe said in an email to the Chandler Independent.

It's unclear what the closure means to the Chandler International Film Festival. It's also unclear what the closure means to anyone who holds any time of gift or discount card for LOOK, whose now-10 locations include none in Arizona or New Mexico.
