Gilbert police make three more arrests in alleged assault

Posted

Gilbert Police added three more arrests Jan. 10 in the alleged robbery and assault case from August at Williams Field Road and Market Street, officials said.

Gilbert Police said they arrested Aris Arredondo, 18, plus two 16-year-old juveniles, all of whom were charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.

They join Christopher Fantastic, 18, who was arrested in the evening of Jan. 9, according to police.

The juveniles were referred to Maricopa County Juvenile Court, police said.

The case remains active, and police said they are still working to identify additional individuals involved.

The investigation is independent and separate from Queen Creek's investigation into the death of Preston Lord.

All the arrests come in the wake of Gilbert Town Council forming a subcommittee Jan. 9 to study teen  violence after Lord's death and other reported assaults involving teens in the community.

Gilbert police thanked the community for their help in identifying the suspects and said they will continue to provide updates as they become available.
