Dignity breaks ground on new Chandler tower

Posted

Dignity Health and city of Chandler officials were at Chandler Regional Medical Center on Nov. 5, as a groundbreaking ceremony marked the start of construction of a new ambulatory care tower.

This expansion, which Dignity Health stated, in a news release, is designed to meet the accelerating needs of the rapidly growing East Valley, is set to house several services.

The 100,000 square foot,  4-story facility will house a dedicated ambulatory surgery center, an imaging center and a Dignity Health Medical Group multi-specialty practice.

Several specialized services, such as neurological, thoracic, and rehabilitation care are also set to be offered in the tower, which is expected to open in fall 2026.

“This new building represents a profound commitment to the health and well-being of the East Valley,” Brian Galle, vice-president of operations for Dignity Health East Valley, stated in the news release.“As our community continues to expand at an incredible pace, it is our responsibility to ensure our neighbors have access to high-quality medical care and this facility will bring many of those services under one roof.”

Present for the groundbreaking were several health care and local officials, including Dignity Health East Valley CEO Jeff McBee and President Mario Garner, Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke, Vice Mayor Christine Ellis and Council members Jennifer Hawkins, Angel Encinas and O.D. Harris.
