Hamilton High School’s girls basketball team was honored for its recent state title at the April 8 Chandler Unified School District Governing Board meeting.
The Huskies only went 20-12 in 2024-25, but won the Premier Region title and earned the No. 3 seed in the Class 6A state tournament. There, they rolled into the March 8 final at Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum against Gilbert High.
Hamilton held off a late charge by the Tigers to win in overtime, 56-54.
It was the third state crown for Hamilton, with all three titles coming since 2016 with coach Trevor Neider at the helm.
The Huskies, who had no seniors on this year’s roster, figure to be title contenders again in 2025-26.
