The Town of Cave Creek is in the process of hiring a new Town Attorney, as the timeline for the process was given to the Town Council at its Sept. 2 meeting.
Current Town Attorney Bill Sims is planning to retire at the end of the year, and according to the timeline presented by Procurement Administrator Monique Harris, the town hopes to have a new hire ready to be approved by the council at its Oct. 20 meeting.
“As we were putting together the scope, we were very mindful about identifying not a replacement for Mr. Sims, but really ensuring continuity of services and identifying someone that’s going to be the right fit,” Harris said.
