Litchfield Park is asking local business owners to tell the city how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted their businesses via a survey posted on the city’s website and Facebook page.
“The information gathered will help us help you. The information may be shared publicly, however no individual businesses will be identified,” according to the post, which went up June 24 and will be available for two weeks.
“We have already received 26 responses today,” Assistant City Manager Matthew Williams said via email June 25. “We look forward to seeing these results and the impact COVID-19 has had on our businesses.”
Once the survey is complete, results will be tabulated and provided to city administration staff and the City Council, he said.
The survey asks business owners their industry and whether the business is located in the 85340 ZIP code, how COVID-19 is impacting operations, what level of impact the owner anticipates (will they go out of business or survive the storm), how much monthly revenue the business has lost, whether the business received stimulus funds, whether the business is requiring use of masks and the owners’ thoughts on enforcing the city/county mask order, how the mask order has impacted business and what is the biggest thing the business needs during the pandemic, other than returning to business as usual.
The survey also provides business owners an opportunity to share additional comments.
