The Buckeye Public Library System will expand the “no-contact pickup” service hours to include evenings and Saturdays starting Monday, Aug. 24.
The expanded service hours will be 9-11 a.m. Monday through Saturday at both the Coyote Branch, 21699 W. Yuma Road, and the Downtown Library, 310 N. Sixth St.; 5-7 p.m. Tuesdays at the Coyote Branch; and 5-7 p.m. Thursdays at the Downtown Library.
The expanded hours give working parents, students, teachers and the general public additional opportunities to pick up materials at their convenience and ensures residents continue to have access to books, videos and other resources.
Residents may “reserve, arrive and retrieve” items from either library location or the Roadrunner Bookmobile. The Roadrunner Bookmobile will continue to provide no-contact service to the Tartesso and Festival communities.
Library staff will wear masks and gloves while maintaining physical distancing when assisting customers. The pick-up process will vary slightly between the Downtown and Coyote branches. The Downtown branch will have “walk-up” service and the Coyote Branch will provide curbside service.
To get started:
Reserve a book, DVD or other resource online at buckeye.polarislibrary.com or by calling 623-349-6300
Residents will be notified when items are available
Pick up items within seven days
Arrive during no-contact service hours
Retrieve items by following instructions posted at each library or outside the Bookmobile
To return items, book returns at both library locations are now in service. All returned items will be quarantined for 72 hours before returning to available status.
