After maintaining and operating the Apache Junction Rodeo Grounds for the last 37 years, the city has purchased 20 acres from the Bureau of Land Management for $1.4 million and is seeking public input on what amenities to add.
The Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Department, working with current rodeo event center user groups, has identified key amenities to enhance and increase events and activities in the Apache Junction area. Future improvements will be prioritized based on need and available funding, according to a release.
