December 9, 1931 - March 3, 2024
Ralph M. King, formerly of Homer, MI, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2024, in Tempe, AZ, surrounded by his loving family at Hospice. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of many through his kindness and generosity.

Born on December 9, 1931, Ralph was a proud veteran who served his country with honor from 1949 to 1959. Following his military service, he embarked on a fulfilling career as a telephone repairman at Alltel, known today as Verizon. After retiring from telecommunications, Ralph found joy in operating heavy equipment for Asphalt & Excavation companies, showcasing his work ethic and skill.

Ralph was a man of many passions. He found solace in his faith and was a dedicated member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Apache Junction, AZ. He cherished his time spent with family, especially attending tractor shows, auctions, and woodcutting adventures. His expertise in repairing clocks and watches was matched only by his love for spoiling the family dogs.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary King, of Apache Junction, AZ; his daughters, Tresa (Mark) Way of Apache Junction, AZ, Megan (Tim) Brail of Portage, MI, and Rachel (Rob) King of Homer, MI; his sister, Patricia Johnson of Johnson City, TN; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Ralph was preceded in death by his son, Randy King, and siblings Lillian Eggleston (sister), Darwin & Donald King (twin brothers), and Clark & Ella King (parents).

In his final act of generosity, Ralph donated his body to Science Care, leaving a lasting impact even beyond his passing.

A memorial service to celebrate Ralph's life will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church at a later date. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Rest in peace, Ralph. Your legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
