The event also offers numerous competitions, such as eating contests where the fastest competitor eats a watermelon wedge down to the rind or scarfs down the most pies in five minutes.

There will also be a cornhole competition and an axe-throwing event, among others.

Youngsters are invited to join the Queen Creek Fire & Medical Department and Queen Creek Police Department for a friendly competition called the Battle of the Badge. Teams will compete in potato sack races, tug of war, three-legged races and more. The winning department takes home the trophy and gets bragging rights.

Live music will also be on tap this year throughout the event. Valley musician, singer, songwriter and producer Stanley Serrano will be on the main stage. Born in Los Angeles, Serrano has been a staple of the Valley’s music scene since 2013. He’s known for his work in the Christian Latino community.
