Bring your lawn chairs and sandals — music in Anthem is back.

In May, residents can see concerts every Friday starting on May 7.

The free concerts will be held at the amphitheater at Anthem Community Park, 41703 N. Gavilan Peak Parkway, Anthem.

Upbeat cover bands from Tripwire to City Nights Band, a group that plays hits from Bruno Mars to the Beatles and Michael Jackson to Journey will be featured during May. Each Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., a different act will take the stage.

“Having to cancel Music in May last year was tough,” said Debbie Pulido, special events manager of the Anthem Community Council. “We know folks missed it. We are so excited to have our events back, and we look forward to seeing our residents again — safely enjoying this fun outdoor event.”

According to a press release, the Anthem Community Council will help ensure public safety by using guidelines of social distancing at each event. For more information, please visit: Onlineatanthem.com/music-in-may
