West Valley bands join forces, debut in Surprise

Members of The Jan Petrie Band have joined The Priscilla Rose Band to form the West Valleys’ newest rock quartet.

The lineup features Sun City resident Rich La Rose (guitar and vocals), Glendale resident Priscilla Pinches (keyboard and vocals), Peoria resident Greg Mc Whorter (drums and vocals), and Goodyear resident Ray Carter (bass and vocals), and will make its debut public performance 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20 at Chef Peters Bistro, 17300 N. Sun Village Parkway, Surprise.

Former Jan Petrie Band drummer Greg Mc Whorter (aka Greg Mc Rocker) is the newest member of the Rose Band.

Mr. Mc Whorter replaces former Rose Band drummer Jack Lake, who has joined the Sonoran Blues Rock Band.

“This is very exciting,” Mr. Mc Whorter stated. “Ever since Jan announced that she was moving back to Washington state, a lot of our followers were asking ‘what’s next?’ Well, this is it.”

Call 623-322-1011.

“We will be playing more of the tunes the Jan Petrie Band played, in hopes of attracting her following to our band,” Ms. Pinches stated. “We are all lead singers, so we will be performing songs ‘round robin’ style, so everyone gets to be in the spotlight.”
