Turf translated to Imagine Prep playing surface

The old floor tiles have been stripped at Imagine Prep at Surprise gym.
The new Thunderdome will debut in early September.
Imagine Prep Principal Chris McComb stated in an email that the original gym flooring was bubbling up, causing a tripping hazard for athletes. The school’s athletic department has been saving funds for a few years now from the annual IPS Golf Scramble.
During last November’s scramble, Tracy Tingue, owner of AZ Turf and More hit the hole-in-one prize. He donated more than half the prize money to support efforts for the new floor efforts.
Mr. McComb and Imagine Prep athletic director Sean Sachau accepted Mr. Tingue’s donation.
Imagine Prep Surprise is a public charter school for grades 6-12 at 14850 N 156th Ave., in Surprise.
