As The Grand plans to celebrate its 30th anniversary in October, staff reportedly received an unwelcomed present consisting of hair follicles, feces and disturbing messages.
As of Sept. 16, the Surprise police had no knowledge of the alarming incidents detailed in the late morning community notice signed by the general manager, Jeff Hochman, which was sent to all residents who were notified about a “serious matter” involving the Community Association Management staff reportedly getting mail containing disturbing and offensive materials.
“In one instance, an envelope contained hair. In a separate incident, an envelope contained feces. Regardless of who is responsible, this type of conduct is unacceptable and has no place in our community. Our team members come to work each day to serve The Grand professionally, respectfully and with dedication. They deserve to perform their responsibilities in a safe environment free from harassment, intimidation and degrading behavior,” Hochman stated.
