Surprise seniors falling for AI prevention device

Detector is keeping living home residents healthy in real time

Before Marlene Caffee moved to Surprise to be near her daughter in 2018, the senior had suffered a few falls in her previous home in Eugene, Oregon.

“I try to be very careful,” Caffee said. “I have a tendency to move quickly, and I’m trying to call down and take it easy.”

Caffee said she has not fallen since moving into Fellowship Square Surprise, near Sarival Avenue and Bell Road. Outside of jamming her toe in an elevator, she has fortunately not suffered any major injuries from another fall.
