Surprise Police make arrests in shooting investigation

Minors booked on multiple charges for May 1 incident

Two minors were arrested Wednesday for a shooting earlier in the week in the eastern part of Surprise.

The Surprise Police Department responded to a shooting May 1 in the area of 11000 W. St. John’s Road and Avenue of the Arts.

One man was shot and hospitalized. His condition is unknown.

Police spokesperson Barry Bredell said a silver Chevy Silverado, possibly a 2016 or 2017 model, was involved in the shooting.

Criminal charges are pending for the two suspects, including firearm offenses, theft and disorderly conduct.

This investigation is still ongoing.
