Kids looking for something fun to do over winter break have an option with the Surprise Parks and Recreation Department.
The city is offering a winter break camp for kids currently enrolled in kindergarten through eighth grade for daily activities, arts and crafts, games and sports.
It will be held Dec. 23, 2024 through Jan. 3. There won’t be a camp on Christmas Day nor New Year’s Day.
Otherwise, camp will be held weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Sierra Montana Recreation Center, 14861 N. Spring Lane.
Surprise resident registration begins Nov. 12 for $30 per day and a $10 per child registration fee.
For non-residents, registration begins Nov. 18 for $34 per day and a $30 per child registration fee.
To download a registration packet, visit surpriseaz.gov/BreakCamps. A completed packet must be turned in at the Parks and Recreation office at 15960 N. Bullard Ave. to finalize registration. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
