The city of Surprise released a new visitor’s guide, inviting guests to “Find Your Surprise” and explore why Surprise is an award-winning travel destination.
“As the 10th largest city in Arizona, Surprise has a lot for visitors to enjoy,” Surprise Mayor Skip Hall said. “Our city is bustling with activity and entertainment – from spring training games, a world-class tennis facility and amazing golf courses, to some of the best restaurants that you’ll only find in Surprise.”
Available in print and digital versions, the free guide provides a wealth of inspiration for visitors while celebrating the city’s sports and recreation, outdoor exploration and arts and cultural richness.
Within its pages, travelers will also find fun features dedicated to local eateries, shopping, lodging, nearby attractions, and even “day trip” resources accompanied by images.
The guide’s release showcases Surprise’s ExploreSurprise.com tourism website. In 2019, the city’s ‘Find Your Surprise’ campaign was awarded the Arizona Office of Tourism’s Outstanding Marketing Campaign — specific to a rural community.
“The ultimate goal of the ‘Find Your Surprise’ marketing campaign is to brand Surprise as a tourism destination and create a positive economic impact for our city,” said Kendra Pettis, Surprise Sports and Tourism director.
The visitor’s guide is available electronically at ExploreSurprise.com and will also be distributed at visitor centers throughout Arizona, information kiosks in the West Valley, hotels, attractions and special events, as well as regional and national tradeshows.
