The Surprise City Council is set to vote on possibly raising property taxes to raise more than half a million dollars at a special meeting Tuesday, June 6.
City officials want to raise the rate to 5.3%, which would mean primary property taxes on a $100,000 home would be $75.91, or $3.70 more than the current rate.
The vote is set for a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, before the regular City Council meeting at City Hall, 16000 N. Civic Center Plaza.
