Surprise college students earn academic plaudits

The following college students from Surprise recently earned academic honors:
• William Brent Redwood was among 1,288 graduates who receiveddegrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in December.
• Alanis Delgado made the dean’s list at University of Saint Mary, a Catholic applied liberal arts university in Leavenworth, Kansas.
• Joshua Thurman made the dean’s list at Morningside University, a private four-year liberal arts university in in Sioux City, Iowa.
• Brysen Hamilton made the dean’s list at MidAmerica Nazarene University, a private, Christian, liberal arts university in Olathe, Kansas.
• Abby O’Connor from Surprise and Micah Hendricks from Waddell both made the dean’s list at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa.
• Herbert “Pike” Tancil made the dean’s list at Nebraska Wesleyan University is an independent Methodist liberal arts university in Lincoln.
• Isis Franks made the dean’s list at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.
