Surprise sanitation and stormwater utility customers will see the first increases on city utility statements beginning Wednesday, July 1.

Single-family solid waste (trash) customers will pay a monthly base rate of $23.40.

The rate schedule will then increase the rate by 10 cents each fiscal year beginning in 2021, topping out at $23.70 on July 1, 2023.

Residential water and wastewater utility rates will remain unchanged. Single-family residential homes in Surprise will see a 75-cent increase in stormwater utility that also go into effect July 1.

That brings the utility fee to $2.75 each month. Visit surpriseaz.gov/utilityratesinfo.
