Registration open for Surprise summer youth sports

The city of Surprise has opened up summer youth sports registration.

The Surprise Parks and Recreation Department is offering a youth basketball league along with sports skills classes, clinics and camps this summer.

Registration runs through Friday, April 19. 

Youth basketball

  • Leagues for boys and girls, ages 5 to 17 (determined on or before July 31)
  • Season starts in late May and runs until mid-July
  • Games are played on weeknights and Saturdays
  • Practice times are up to the volunteer coach, usually one hour once a week (5:25, 6:30 or 7:35 p.m.)

Surprise is offering a variety of skills classes, clinics and camps for ages 5 to 15.
