Registration for Surprise spring youth sports ends Jan. 29

The Surprise Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registrations for spring youth sports, which includes baseball, T-ball, volleyball, and softball leagues, as well as Esports tournaments and tennis programs.
Registration will run until Friday, Jan. 29.
Youth baseball, T-ball, volleyball, and softball leagues — Recreational leagues for boys and girls ages 4 to 17. The season starts in early March and runs until May. Games are played on Saturdays and/or weeknights. Practice times are up to the volunteer coach, usually one-hour once a week (5:30, 6:30 or 7:30 p.m). Age determined on or before May 1. Tennis Programs — The Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex offers tennis lessons for all ages and levels. Monthly and drop-in clinics are available, too. The ball machine and backboards are now available to rent. Visit surpriseaz.gov/tennis, or call 623.222.2400 for information about programs and court rentals.
Esports Tournaments — Surprise Esports Tournaments offers gamers the opportunity to compete in games like Among Us, Fortnite, Rocket League and others. Users need to provide their own gaming console or PC, and copy of the game. Check out surpriseaz.gov/youthsports for the latest tournament information.
Surprise Parks and Recreation has developed and implemented COVID-19 procedures in compliance with the CDC guidelines for the health and safety of the staff and participants.
