Mine Inspector hopeful among speakers at LD29 Dems meetup in Surprise

Brian Matlock, a candidate for the Arizona State Mine Inspector position, is scheduled to speak at the next Arizona LD29 Democrats meeting in Surprise.

State Sen. Analise Ortiz will also be there to discuss Proposition 409, which would authorize an $898 million bond to modernize and expand the Valleywise Health system, the county’s public teaching and safety-net health system.

Plus, West-MEC Superintendent Scott Spurgeon will give details on Propositions 403 and 406, which deal with finances for his school district.

The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15 at Holiday Inn and Suites, 16540 N. Bullard Ave.
