Kids learn weaving in Surprise art center

The next WHAM Kids Saturday Arts and Crafts session will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 at WHAM Art Center, 16560 N. Dysart Road.

Brought to the public by WHAM Apples for Art; these are small arts & crafts projects, with a different medium each class.

Next up is circular plate weaving, a basic introduction into weaving. Learn to weave with yarn, ribbon and lace to create a wall piece.

The class is for age 10 and up. Cost is $10 and all supplies will be provided.

Jen Clevenger is the instructor an the class has a maximum of 12 students.
