Willow Canyon catcher’s second HS title breaks tie with dad, sister

It took two years and an eight-inning state title game filled with drama but Jaeden Murphy earned family bragging rights.

Three days before she graduated from Willow Canyon High School, Murphy was the catcher one last time as Willow Canyon beat rival Canyon View 2-1 in the 5A state title game.

Murphy heads to the University of Kansas with two high school title rings, one more than her sister, Tylan, and father, Dallas.
