Expresses hometown happiness

Do love living in Surprise ... It is one beautiful and great place to live. — Bob Beszborn

Ditto!

This is my Surprise. Born and raised here. Would not trade it for anywhere else. — Sylvia Rivera

I am so tired of people trashing our city. If they don’t like it, they should move. — Betty Patton

We are blessed to live in such a small community, low crime and good school events to enjoy. Spring training and a baseball field for the kids to use for championships as well. — Koni Raes

Better here

I find it funny when people say it’s becoming the ghetto. Have heard that from several people. They’ve clearly never lived in a ghetto. It’s a very nice city and I’m well aware of how lucky we are. So many bad places and people struggling in other parts of the world. It’s all about perspective. — JL Crosby

I grew up in Maryvale and this beautiful and safe city of Surprise that we live in is in no way the ghetto. I love this city! I love the small-town feel and the farmland surrounding the area. — Casey Raymer

Totally agree! We moved to Surprise from the Chicago area. — Sandi Taylor Ibbotson
