Rockin' The Blues back for 3 Surprise shows in June

Posted

A regular on West Valley stages, Rockin’ The Blues, will play three more shows planned for Surprise in June.

They include:

• From 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 17 at The Chicken Ranch, 14051 W. Grand Ave. Call 623-248-6628.
• From 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, June 19 at The Eagles Aeire, 12425 W. Bell Road, Suite 100. There is a small cover charge for non-members. Call 623-584-1660.
• From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 26 at I & J Fountain Restaurant, 12221 W. Bell Road. Call 623-583-1222.

The blues combo features John Leo (vocals, harmonica), from Surprise, Sun City residents Guy Dobbins (drums) and Larry Kubyiack (bass), and Anthem resident Scott Severtson (guitar).

The band took flight when lifelong New Yorker Mr. Leo and his wife, Joann, relocated to Arizona in 2013. The members shortly after each found one another and began blending blues with rock and roll for their original sound.
