The Surprise Community and Resource Center is hosting a one-day clinic focused on building financial literacy and confidence for service members, veterans and their families.

It is scheduled for 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 12641 W. Santa Fe Drive.

The free clinic, which is in partnership with the Arizona Coalition for Military Families, will let attendees explore topics that include budgeting, debt management and safeguarding from scams.
