Caregiver Boot Camp is back in Surprise

Benevilla hosting 11-session series in city starting June 3

Benevilla announced its new Caregiver Boot Camp will be starting Monday, June 3.

The series is free and open to the public. Join Benevilla and their C.A.R.E.S. Preferred Partners for a dynamic 11-session educational series designed to empower caregivers and enhance their support as they navigate this challenging journey with their loved ones.

Caregivers will get expert guidance, gain valuable insights and learn about practical tools available to assist them with the issues they may be facing.

“Benevilla is excited to partner with so many local senior services experts willing to share their knowledge and support our aging population in the Northwest valley,” said Benevilla President and CEO Joanne Byers. “Today, 30% to 60% of caregivers pass from illnesses related to caregiver stress before the person they are caring for. That’s why getting family caregivers this type of specialized support and information is crucial for our aging communities and their families.”

Each week there will be a different topic. These include “Basic Caregiver Skills” and “Nutrition and Meal Planning” as well as “Managing Cognitive Behavioral Changes, “Home Safety and Assistive Devices” and “Legal and Financial Planning.”

Classes in Surprise are from 10 to 11 a.m. on the first and third Tuesday of the month at the Home Instead location at 15003 W. Bell Road, Suite 150.

The expert presenters are members of the Benevilla C.A.R.E.S. “Preferred Partners” program consisting of more than 20 local senior services providers Benevilla has formed dynamic partnerships with.

Each organization has a commitment to quality and unsurpassed business ethics and are ready to answer your questions and support you on your caregiver journey. The expert advice and resources of the preferred partners range from senior living options and placement to hospice and home care choices, elder law, geriatric care management, fiduciary services, estate planning and supervision and more.
