Benevilla is hosting a free, in-person planning workshop with Kristen Mihaljevic at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 11 on its main campus located at 16752 N. Greasewood St.
The senior director of planned giving at Arizona Community Foundation, Mihaljevic will discuss smart and effective charitable giving options.
This session will focus on charitable gifts that don’t involve a lawyer, including Donor Advised Funds (DAFs).
The event will explore various avenues through which individuals can make a meaningful impact on causes they care about. Come prepared to get questions answered.
What are DAFs and how do they work?
What are the benefits of using DAFs for charitable giving?
What are the various DAF providers and their features?
Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Mihaljevic's career began in healthcare where she transitioned her experience into medical fundraising.
Mihaljevic brings proven experience in nonprofit leadership and capacity building to her role as senior director. In addition to stewarding a portfolio of fundholders, Mihaljevic also serves as the director of the Arizona Endowment Building Institute.
This free, interactive event is part of the yearlong Benevilla free “Educational Workshops” series featuring carefully selected professionals who can answer your questions and provide guidance and resources you may need to prepare for senior life changes.
Upcoming workshops cover a broad range of important topics from in-home care management and hospice to estate preparation and tax savings tips.
