Many Surprise nonprofit arts organizations, festivals and arts learning programs were among others throughout the state to receive portions of grants funds from the Arizona Commission on the Arts.
The state agency announced 409 grant awards totaling $2,655,846, according to a press release on the one-time legislative appropriation of $2 million in support of Arizona’s arts and culture sectors benefiting communities statewide.
Grants were awarded to a range of diverse organizations and programs spread across the state, from a community theater in Bullhead City to WHAM Art Association in Surprise.
