From the outside, the 49-14 ALA-West Foothills 3A football playoff victory over Dysart Nov. 8 seemed very similar to the season-ending 55-7 Guardians win over the Demons the week before.
On the field in Waddell, though, #15 seed Dysart was emptying the tank effort wise and keeping the rematch interesting. With 10:36 remaining, the Demons became the first team to score two touchdowns on the Guardians and trailed only 27-14.
ALA-West Foothills (11-0) pulled away from there with its depth and physicality, scoring three touchdowns in the final 10:15 to cement its first playoff win.
