Adult sports league sign up starts soon in Surprise

Villanueva Recreation Center in the Original Town Site of Surprise is a regular site for youth and adult basketball leagues, co-ed indoor volleyball.

The Surprise Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up for adult softball, volleyball, basketball, flag football and kickball leagues.
Returning teams from Surprise Fall 2023 adult sports leagues may register starting Dec. 4 by calling the parks and recreation office at 623-222-2000 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays, or by emailing Ian.Wallace@surpriseaz.gov.
Registration will open to non-returning and new teams Wednesday, starting Dec. 6 online, over the phone or at the parks and recreation office - 15960 N. Bullard Ave.
Players must register as a team. The minimum number of players is listed on registration page. Leagues are:
Co-Ed, Women’s and Men’s Softball
Games played at Dick McComb Park – 17894 W. Park Blvd.
Team Registration Fee: $450
League Nights: Men’s Tuesdays and Thursdays; Women’s Thursdays; Co-Ed Fridays and Sundays.
Leagues Begin: Jan. 7, 9, 11, 12
League Format: Doubleheaders and a single-elimination tournament.
Team Limit: Eight teams per division
Basketball
Games played at Villanueva Recreation Center – 15660 N. Hollyhock St.
Team Registration Fee: $450
League Night: Thursdays and Tuesdays
Season Begins: Jan. 9 and 11
League Format: One game per week and a single elimination tournament
Team Limit: Eight teams per league night
Co-Ed and Women’s Kickball
Games played at Marley Park – 15126 W. Sweetwater Ave.
Team Registration Fee: $200
League Night: Saturdays
Season Begins: Jan. 13
League Format: Doubleheaders and a single elimination tournament
Team Limit: Six teams
Co-Ed Indoor Volleyball
Games played at Countryside Recreation Center – 15038 N. Parkview Place, and Villanueva Recreation Center – 15660 N. Hollyhock St.
Team Registration Fee: $200
League Night: Sundays
Season Begins: Jan. 13
League Format: One match per night (best two of three games) and a single elimination tournament
Team Limit: Eight teams
4 on 4 Flag Football
