Adaptive fishing derby set for Surprise lake

An adaptive family fishing derby is coming to the Surprise Community Park on April 13.

An adaptive family fishing derby is coming to the Surprise Community Park, 15930 N. Bullard Ave., from 9 to 11 a.m. on April 13.
In conjunction with the Arizona Game and Fish Department and volunteer assistance from the Sun City Grand Fishing Club, Surprise is offering an event where any individual with a developmental and/or physical disability can attend along with their family.
This is a free event but registration is required.
Equipment will be provided for the first 30 adaptive participants.
Individuals needing extra assistance such as personal hygiene and feeding are responsible for making arrangements prior to the event.
