Stand up comedian Zainab Johnson kicks off the 2023-24 Comedy Nights package at The Vista in Surprise on Saturday, Sept. 16.

The next event at The Vista Center for the Arts, 15660 N. Parkview Place, Surprise, is the first comedy performance of The Vista’s 2023-24 season.
Zainab Johnson will present a night of stand-up comedy from 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16.
Johnson is a stand-up comedian, actor and writer from Harlem, New York who was recently hailed by Variety as being a Top 10 Comic To Watch. Her comedy is based on her unique point-of-view, which was shaped growing up as one of 13 siblings in a Muslim family.
Johnson is a regular at the Comedy Cellar in New York City as well as the Comedy Store and Improv in Los Angeles. She’s made appearances on Late Night with Seth Meyers, HBO’s All Def Comedy, MTV’s Acting Out, and NBC’s Last Comic Standing
Now, Johnson can be seen playing the role of Aleesha on the Greg Daniels Amazon series UPLOAD.
