Fall marks start of Chandler music series in the park

Posted

It has been months, but the time has arrived for the start nice weather and the beginning of the annual Sonoran Sunset Series at Veterans Oasis Park in Chandler.

On the third Thursday of the month, from Oct. 20 through March 16,  musicians and entertainers will perform an array of acts for music lovers at the series of free open-air concerts.

Jazz, country, feel-good rock and the  sounds of multiple eras take to the park’s main stage from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

“Fall in Chandler has always been a time to get outside and socialize, something that’s easy to do thanks to Sonoran Sunset Series’ bountiful outdoor concert lineup,” Theo Anglin, recreation coordinator and event organizer, said.

“Residents can make a night of it by walking around the lake or visiting one of the many park trails and then enjoying music under the stars in this beautiful neighborhood.”

Parkgoers are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Food and small coolers are also welcome. Alcohol is not permitted.
