Working together to solve problems in Sun City

MCSO, Posse watching specific area

Several agencies are pooling resources to solve problems in the Sun City community.

Lt. Scott Keller, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, said while issues with homeless and trespassing have declined in the shopping centers straddling North 107th Avenue south of West Grand Avenue, there are issues in other areas. One area of concern right now is between North 105th and North 106th avenues along West Coggins Drive.

“We have been getting a lot of calls to that area for homeless and trespassing,” Keller told the Posse members during the April 4 monthly general meeting. “They are even leaving a bunch of grocery carts there in the evening and coming back in the morning to get them.”
