Work picks up on Sun City lake project

RCSC officials address safety issues

Sun City residents will see progress on the Viewpoint Lake liner replacement project in the coming weeks.

Work ramped up last week as concrete pads were poured on liner squares in the lake bed in preparation for installation of demolished concrete to serve as fish habitats. In addition, workers were expected to start preparing the slopes in phase one for liner placement followed by installation of the concrete banks, according to Cory Severson, Pacific Aquascapes president.

“We have been making steady progress every day,” he said during an April 3 informational meeting.
