Work continues on 2 permanent Queen Creek fire stations

Queen Creek is making headway on the construction of two permanent fire stations.

The town currently has five fire stations, but stations No. 2 and No. 5 are currently in modular buildings, with the brick-and-mortar stations going up at 24787 S. Sossaman Road and 245 W. Combs Road.

“Both stations 2 and 5 today are in modular buildings and what we call temporary facilities,” said Queen Creek Fire Chief Vance Gray. “Because they're much smaller than a brick-and-mortar fire station, they don't have the same accommodations and equipment inside that we require to outfit the firefighters safely.”
