Work in progress to implement Scottsdale Unified’s strategic plan

Entering the second semester of the 2022-23 school year, Scottsdale Unified School District examines how it’s been taking actions and aligning itself with the goals outlined in its strategic plan.

Superintendent Scott Menzel, along with the SUSD governing board, began a three-phased, strategic planning process in the 2020-21 school year to create an “aspirational and inspirational” vision for the district.

The resulting plan and its key performance indicators, referred to by district officials as KPI’s, were approved by the board in June 2022. Priority KPIs were later approved on Sept. 6, 2022.
