Work to begin this month on Surprise traffic signal at Deer Valley, Grand

The traffic signals are not quite keeping page with development along Grand Avenue, but a developer helped speed one project along.

A contractor will begin installing the underground infrastructure for a signal at Deer Valley Road and Grand Avenue within the next two weeks, stated Dana Owsiany, Surprise Transportation Engineering Manager. The underground work at Grand Avenue is expected to take three to four weeks.

Once that work is complete, they will shift to the Williams Road intersection with Deer Valley and complete the same underground work, Owsiany stated in an email that there is some long lead-time on equipment for the next phase, so the phased timeline is unclear at this time.
