Work apparently began in the Viewpoint Lake bottom last week, but little is known about what was being done.
A tractor with a bucket loader was working in several locations in the lake Nov. 14. A photo on the Sun City Chit Chat Facebook page showed the tractor on the bank next to Hillside Park. It was also seen by residents along Bayside Drive on the other side of the lake from their backyards and it was almost in the middle of the lake, with water nearly covering its tank-type treads, south of Cameo Drive.
But Recreation Centers of Sun City officials did not share what work was being done in the lake.
