Women's friendship club makes donation in Sun City West

Posted

Connections, a women's friendship club met last month at Briarwood Country Club,  20800 N.135th Ave.

Kay Coffey, Connections president,  presented a donation to June Hell, Meals on Wheels executive director. Connections promotes friends and has been in existence since the Welcome Wagon was dissolved. The purpose of this club is to provide a format for Sun City West women to meet other local women, get acquainted, form enduring friendships, and support worthy causes within the community.
The club meets the second Thursday of each month for a luncheon and meeting followed by a program or bridge and games. Reservations are required by the first of each month. Membership is open to all female residents in Sun City West.

The Welcome Wagon began back in 1985. In 2000, the name was changed to   Connections because the name “Welcome Wagon” implied a group only for those new to the community.

This is an  activity rich group open to all women residing within the historical boundaries of Sun City West ready to promote friendship and to support civic and charitable causes within our community.
