Lifelong memories will be made for whichever fan base’s team lifts the trophy in Phoenix this weekend, but the Women’s Final Four will leave behind more than just memories in Phoenix.
Government and NCAA officials cut the ribbon on renovations to the Washington Activity Center, at 23rd and Maryland Avenues in the Alhambra neighborhood, on Thursday. The upgrades were this year’s Women’s Final Four Legacy Project, in partnership with the beauty brand Dove.
“Long after the national champion cuts down the nets, the impact will be felt right here at the Washington Activity Center for years to come,” said Arizona Sports & Tourism Authority CEO Thomas Sadler.
