Woman rescued from burning Scottsdale apartment

Fire department: Victim in serious condition

Posted

Scottsdale firefighters rescued a woman from a burning second floor apartment Tuesday afternoon, officials say.

Around 12:15 p.m. June 13, Scottsdale Fire Department responded to a fire at 3313 N. 68th St. As crews were completing an evaluation of the structure, a female victim was witnessed attempting to open a window on the second floor to the rear of the structure, fire officials say.

Scottsdale fire crews extended a ground ladder to the window and assisted the victim out of the window. She was treated and transported to a local burn unit in serious condition, officials say.

Fire crews attacked the fire to keep it from extending into the other apartments.

No firefighter injuries were reported, officials say.
