Woman, pet dog killed in hit-and-run on Valley street
An investigation is underway in Phoenix following a collision that killed a woman and her dog.

Phoenix police are searching for the driver of a vehicle who struck a woman and her dog and fled the scene of a Friday collision.
The crash occurred just after 1 a.m. July 11, and police and fire department personnel arrived at the scene to find Brittany Geib, 29, and her dog dead near 51st Avenue and Elwood Street, according to a release.
Detectives responded and learned the driver of the vehicle, possibly a Toyota Tacoma, was going south on 51st Avenue, striking Geib while she was in the road with her dog.

Phoenix police are searching for the driver of a vehicle who struck a woman and her dog and fled the scene of a Friday collision.
The crash occurred just after 1 a.m. July 11, and police and fire department personnel arrived at the scene to find Brittany Geib, 29, and her dog dead near 51st Avenue and Elwood Street, according to a release.
Detectives responded and learned the driver of the vehicle, possibly a Toyota Tacoma, was going south on 51st Avenue, striking Geib while she was in the road with her dog.
The vehicle did not stop and continued south. Detectives said they believe a second car, possibly a Toyota Camry, may have also struck Geib and left the area.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377). Tips are anonymous and information leading to an arrest will be eligible for a $2,000 reward, police said.
