A 27-year-old woman died Monday night after being struck by a vehicle in west Phoenix, Phoenix Police said in a release.
Officers responded to the area of 41st Avenue and West Camelback Road about 7:15 p.m. on Dec. 1, according to the release.
When the officers arrived, they found a female, later identified at Essence Stevenson, with serious injuries. Stevenson was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased, the release stated.

A 27-year-old woman died Monday night after being struck by a vehicle in west Phoenix, Phoenix Police said in a release.
Officers responded to the area of 41st Avenue and West Camelback Road about 7:15 p.m. on Dec. 1, according to the release.
When the officers arrived, they found a female, later identified at Essence Stevenson, with serious injuries. Stevenson was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased, the release stated.
The preliminary investigation showed Stevenson was crossing Camelback Road mid-block when she was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound. Impairment is not believed to be a factor in the collision, and the investigation is ongoing.
