Woman killed in Glendale crash leaves behind 3 boys
Posted
Independent Newsmedia
Glendale police have identified a woman who was killed after a vehicle crashed into a wall.
The incident happened around 2 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 23.
Police said Felicia Ann Hernandez, 34, was driving eastbound near Glendale and 75th avenues when her vehicle struck the center median, went off the roadway, and struck a residential block wall.
Ms. Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene while her 34-year-old female passenger was taken to the hospital but was later released.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Speed and impairment are still being looked at as factors.
According to a GoFundMe account, Ms. Hernandez celebrated her 34th birthday Feb. 18. She leaves behind three sons and other family members.
“When it came to her boys she was as selfless as a mother could be,” the GoFundMe post states.
Along with funeral expenses, the account is raising funds to help with the cost of moving.
