A 24-year-old woman, who later died at a hospital, was found unconscious Sunday night near 19th Avenue and Broadway Road, and detectives are searching for answers.
Officers responded to a call of a vehicle collision at the location and found Angel Benkelman lying in the road. She was taken to a hospital where she died.
Detectives searched for witnesses or video surveillance of the incident but found none, according to a Phoenix Police Department release.

Officers responded to a call of a vehicle collision at the location and found Angel Benkelman lying in the road. She was taken to a hospital where she died.
Detectives searched for witnesses or video surveillance of the incident but found none, according to a Phoenix Police Department release.
The investigation is waiting for findings from the Office of the Medical Examiner, police said.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Phoenix police or Silent Witness, if they wish to remain anonymous.
